Deplar Farm, Ólafsfjörður (Iceland)

Discover website ↗

Perched in the remote Fljót Valley on Iceland’s rugged Troll Peninsula, Deplar Farm is a former 15th-century sheep farm transformed into one of the world’s most extraordinary adventure lodges. Operated by Eleven Experience, the property sits between the sweeping fjords of Skagafjörður and Eyjafjörður in northern Iceland, where volcanic mountains, glacial rivers, and vast Arctic skies form an uncompromising natural theatre.

The lodge houses just 16 rooms and suites, each designed with living roofs, floor-to-ceiling windows, and warm Nordic materials that blur the boundary between interior comfort and the wilderness beyond. Guests are immersed in a fully guided, all-inclusive experience that shifts dramatically with the seasons — heli-skiing and snowmobiling in winter, salmon fishing, surfing, and hiking under the midnight sun in summer.

A geothermal pool, a world-class spa, a well-stocked library, and an intimate dining room anchored by locally sourced Icelandic cuisine complete the offering. Deplar Farm is not merely a place to stay — it is a rare encounter with elemental Iceland, delivered with quiet, unhurried precision.
