This natural sandbar sanctuary is a striking triple-island formation off the coast of Koh Tao, where three granite outcrops are joined by a narrow ribbon of powder-white sand cutting through impossibly clear turquoise water. Rising above the junction, a steep clifftop viewpoint rewards the climb with one of Thailand’s most photographed panoramas: twin bays of jade and sapphire framing the sand spit below.

Once a quiet fishing outpost, the island now draws day-trippers and divers alike, its surrounding reefs sheltering vibrant coral gardens and schools of tropical fish just off the beach. The atmosphere shifts with the tide of visitors — serene and glassy in early morning light, lively by midday as longtail and speedboats arrive from Koh Tao and Koh Phangan.

A small dive resort occupies part of the island, allowing overnight guests to witness the sandbar in solitude at dawn. For everyone else, a modest entrance fee grants access to the beaches and the iconic viewpoint trail, making this one of the Gulf of Thailand’s most singular natural landmarks.
