|Tobago Cays and Horseshoe Reef Union Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines ⚲
A natural marine sanctuary of uncommon beauty, the Tobago Cays is a cluster of five uninhabited islets protected within a vast turquoise lagoon in the Southern Grenadines. Sheltered by the four-kilometer arc of Horseshoe Reef, the longest and most spectacular of its kind in the region, these waters shift from pale aquamarine to deep sapphire, cradling one of the Caribbean’s finest coral ecosystems.
Wild green sea turtles graze in the shallows alongside snorkelers, while the sand-bottomed lagoon offers exceptional visibility and calm conditions ideal for swimming and diving. There are no roads, no permanent buildings, no artificial light, only wind, reef, and horizon. Visitors arrive by boat, often anchoring for the day or overnight beneath a canopy of stars unspoiled by any settlement.
Designated a marine park since 1998, the Cays remain a living reminder of the Grenadines before tourism, a place where nature, not architecture, defines the experience. It is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful anchorages in the world.
