|Anse Georgette Praslin Island, Seychelles ⚲
A natural white-sand beach cradled on the northwest coast of Praslin Island, Anse Georgette is regarded as one of the most beautiful stretches of shoreline in the Seychelles and, by many accounts, the world. Fine powder sand meets a lagoon of shifting turquoise and sapphire, framed by granite boulders and a dense curtain of tropical palms that lean protectively over the water.
Accessible only on foot or by boat through the grounds of the Constance Lemuria Resort, the beach retains an air of exclusivity and calm, with visitor numbers naturally limited by its remote position past the resort’s golf course. The result is a hushed, unspoiled atmosphere rare among celebrated beaches — birdsong and surf replace crowds and noise.
Swimming conditions are generally gentle, though currents can shift with the season, rewarding those who linger with some of the clearest water on the island. Anse Georgette is less a destination than a reward, a quiet triumph of geography best experienced slowly, at low tide, in the soft light of late afternoon.
