|Anse Source d’Argent La Digue, Seychelles ⚲
This natural beach is one of the most photographed shores on Earth, a shimmering ribbon of powder-soft pink-white sand set against colossal granite boulders sculpted over eons by wind and tide. Nestled on the southwestern coast of La Digue within the historic L’Union Estate, Anse Source d’Argent unfolds along a shallow turquoise lagoon protected by an offshore reef, its calm waters ideal for wading and gentle swimming beneath swaying takamaka and coconut palms.
The scene feels almost cinematic: weathered granite monoliths frame secluded coves, while filtered sunlight plays across the glass-like shallows. Once part of a working coconut and vanilla plantation, the estate still carries traces of Creole plantation life, adding cultural depth to the natural spectacle. Best visited in early morning or late afternoon light, when the granite glows amber and the crowds thin, this is a place best absorbed slowly, in bare feet, without agenda. It remains a defining image of Seychellois beauty.
