A natural marine and dune landscape spanning the southern reaches of the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park, where the towering ochre dunes of Benguerra Island meet the pale, ever-shifting sandbanks of Two Mile Reef. Sculpted by centuries of Indian Ocean wind and current, the dunes rise in soft amber waves above turquoise shallows, while offshore the reef reveals its own quieter drama at low tide, exposing bone-white sandbars that seem to float on glass-clear water.

Beneath the surface, coral gardens shelter manta rays, whale sharks and one of the last significant populations of dugong on the East African coast, making this a site of profound ecological importance as well as scenic beauty. Ashore, the dunes offer sweeping views across the channel toward the mainland, framed by baobabs and coastal thicket inhabited by fishing communities whose dhows still trace the same waters as generations before.
