A dramatic natural viewpoint perched high above the fishing village of Reine, Reinebringen is one of the most celebrated panoramas in the Lofoten Islands. Reached via a steep staircase of stone steps built into the mountainside by Nepalese Sherpa craftsmen, the ascent climbs sharply from sea level to 448 metres, rewarding hikers with an uninterrupted vista over jagged granite peaks, the cobalt waters of Reinefjorden, and the scattered red rorbuer cabins clinging to the shoreline below.

The climb is short in distance but demanding in gradient, typically taking one to two hours round trip, and is best attempted in clear weather for the full reward of the view.
