This natural wonder is a two-tiered waterfall cascading 189 meters down sheer basalt cliffs within the Columbia River Gorge, ranking as Oregon’s tallest cascade and one of the most photographed natural landmarks in the Pacific Northwest.

Fed by glacial meltwater and underground springs from Larch Mountain, the slender silver ribbon of Multnomah Falls plunges in two dramatic drops, split by the arched stone Benson Footbridge, built in 1914 by Italian stonemasons. The surrounding canyon walls are cloaked in moss and draped with ferns, forming a lush, primeval amphitheater carved by ancient volcanic flows and Ice Age floods.
